Atelier November was founded by Luci Rutledge (CEng MIStructE) with the goal of realising clients’ visions drawing on the world of art, architecture, engineering, interiors and design.

Luci is an established designer, having spent the majority of her career in London working on large scale projects and construction with highly commended architects such as Herzog de Meuron, Zaha Hadid and Fosters + Partners. She brings technical know-how together with an acute design eye to create contemporary spaces of distinction. Her professional attributes allow her to design and lead projects through each stage of the creative and construction process.

Focusing on materiality, colour and texture, Atelier November aims to transform rooms into contemporary and functional spaces. Combining multiple discipline knowledge allows an efficient and coherent design to come together effectively.

Luci has also contributed to designing public pieces of art from artists such as Conrad Shawcross and Mariko Mori, exploring ways to apply technical principles to complex forms, unusual materials and building techniques. This gives her a broad spectrum of knowledge not only in traditional building types, but allows thinking outside of standard limitations.

A love of travel and art strongly influences every aspect of the Atelier November aesthetic, especially through international style, particularly that of the Balearics, Indian Ocean and the Middle East, where simplicity is revered and each element combines to highlight materiality and tonality, creating a sense of serenity and balance.

“I appointed Luci on both my commercial and residential project and was incredibly impressed with her ability to bring together her technical construction knowledge and creative design.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as I already have.”
